Dia de los Muertos, or in the U.S known as Day of the dead, is a mexican tradition that starts on the first of November and ends on the 2nd. It celebrates life and death. Common traditions in this event are making altars decorated with flowers and pictured of lost loved ones. They make delicious traditional food that they put on altars to offer to the spirits coming from the different world. Day of the dead traces back to the Aztecs where they used skulls to celebrate the holiday. But a major turning point for the holiday is when Jose Guadalupe Posada, a political cartoonist, published a drawing of a skull making fun of politics and catering the cartoon to the poorer people of his area.
Spanish 2 obituario on Kobe Bryant
For this project we were tasked to create a small bibliography on a person who has passed away. For mine I chose to write about Kobe Bryant who passed in 2020.
For this project we were required to create a humorous poem about some figure in the world. I chose to write about Queen Elizabeth. We were also tasked with creating a figure with the poem as seen on the paper.
